During the mission, officials from Maeci and AICS engaged with numerous Eritrean institutional representatives from entities such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Health. They also interacted with significant stakeholders, including members from the Eritrean government party’s Economic Affairs sector, local United Nations officials, and representatives from the Eritrean Workers’ Union. The delegation explored development cooperation projects in both Asmara and Massawa and visited the archaeological site of Adulis, where an Italian archaeological mission has been active for years with the support of AICS and Maeci.
