Iran Supports Iraq’s Anti-Terrorism Strategy and Human Rights Efforts

Iran’s Deputy Permanent Representative, Mahdi Aliabadi, expressed support for Iraq’s anti-terrorism strategy and praised recent human rights legislation during a UPR session in Geneva. At the 48th session of the Working Group on the Universal Periodic Review in Geneva, Mahdi Aliabadi, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Iran, expressed warm commendations towards Iraq’s high-level delegation, led by the Minister of Justice. He expressed support for Iraq’s National Strategy to Combat Terrorism for the period 2021–2025 and recommended its extension in the future.
