NEITI and OrderPaper Initiate Rembinar Dialogue Series on Tax Reforms in Nigeria

The first series will particularly address President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s tax reforms and their implications for the extractive sector in Nigeria.

NEITI’s executive secretary, Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, remarked, “The Rembinar dialogue series comes at a critical juncture in our nation’s governance trajectory when extensive tax and fiscal reforms are being undertaken.” He highlighted the importance of engaging stakeholders to strengthen transparency and accountability within Nigeria’s resource governance frameworks.

Oke Epia, the executive director of OrderPaper, called on all public finance management stakeholders to participate in this initiative, stating, “OrderPaper has always been at the forefront of policy reforms and stakeholder engagements in the resource governance sector.” The inaugural episode, titled ‘Tax Bills and the Implications for NEITI Audits,’ is set to occur in March, featuring distinguished speakers, including Orji Ogbonnaya Orji and natural resource governance policy expert Mike Uzoigwe.
