UA Little Rock to Host Argentinian AI Innovators at Tech Launch Event

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host Argentinian AI entrepreneurs on March 4 for a Tech Launch event centered on AI innovations and business applications. The event features a keynote address by Zubair Talib and a panel discussion on AI investments. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is set to host a group of esteemed Argentinian entrepreneurs specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) on March 4. This Tech Launch event will provide insights into AI’s future and practical applications in business. Marla Johnson, UA Little Rock’s tech-entrepreneur-in-residence, remarked on Argentina’s emerging leadership in AI innovation, with companies such as Celara and Possumus at the forefront of AI-driven business transformation.

The event will take place at the Schueck, Lexicon, McCarty Auditorium, located in the Engineering and Information Technology Building. The program will commence at 1:30 p.m. with a keynote address titled “Beyond the Buzz: Where AI is Headed in 2025,” delivered by Zubair Talib, an MIT-educated AI expert and executive director at Celara Labs. This address aims to explore the future trajectory of AI technology.

Dr. Brian Berry, vice provost of research and dean of the Graduate School at UA Little Rock, expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting the unique opportunity for students, faculty, and the business community to learn from international authorities in AI. The event will also feature a panel discussion at 3 p.m. on “Investing in AI,” which will examine trends in AI investments and emerging business opportunities. The panel will include Talib, Federico Tagliani of Possumus, and Pablo Abdian of Celera Labs.

Johnson further emphasized that both Celara and Possumus are pioneering AI investments, constructing robust AI teams, and identifying new opportunities. Their insights into future AI investments and impacts will be invaluable for attendees. After the discussions, a reception will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Windgate Center, providing an opportunity to network with the visiting entrepreneurs and enjoy Argentine wine and refreshments.
