The Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana will host the 2025 Land of the Giants (LOTG) cycling event from June 6 to June 12, 2025. This event, organized by conservationist Stephen Lansdown, will raise essential funds for the Tuli Conservation Trust (TCT) to support conservation efforts, combat poaching, and empower local communities. Participants will enjoy approximately 120-180 km of cycling trails over three days, all within a stunning wildlife-rich backdrop.
Riders will be divided into groups of up to eight, each led by an experienced guide. A game drive vehicle will accompany each team to provide support, featuring guides, trackers, and spectators. The cost to participate begins at £2,500 per person sharing for a six-night package that encompasses meals, daily game drives, and the cycling event itself, including medical assistance, a spa, support mechanics, and a gift bag.
Event participants will also enjoy two sundowner events, a gala dinner, and a rejuvenation day, during which they will visit local communities and conservation projects that benefit from the funds raised. A total of £780 from each booking will be donated to the TCT, with an ambitious target to raise 1 million Botswana Pula (over US$70,000) for these vital initiatives.
Due to high demand, some group spaces for the 2025 event have already reached capacity. Riders interested in participating are encouraged to inquire about the 2026 event, which is scheduled from May 1 to May 7, 2026. For further information, potential participants may visit the Mashatu LOTG25 webpage or contact [email protected].
