Miata Metals Announces Drill Crew Arrival and Promising Gold Samples at Sela Creek Project

Miata Metals Corp. reports encouraging results from its Sela Creek Project, including gold samples of up to 39.16 g/t. The drill crew is on-site, ready to begin an extensive 10,000-meter drilling program. Preparations for drilling and camp construction are progressing, and quality assurance measures in sampling have been implemented successfully.

Miata Metals Corp. has announced the arrival of its drill crew at the Sela Creek Project in Suriname, as part of its ongoing 2025 field mapping and sampling program. The first hole of a 10,000-meter diamond core drilling program is set to commence this week. Exciting samples from the site include a notable 39.16 grams per ton (g/t) of gold at the Puma target.

Additional significant samples from the central Puma target include readings of 2.32 g/t Au and 5.92 g/t Au, while a sample from 1,000 meters east of Puma yields 7.03 g/t Au, demonstrating considerable expansion of the gold trend to 3.7 kilometers. The Company collected a total of 63 rock samples in this latest batch, averaging 0.93 g/t Au.

Dr. Jaap Verbaas, CEO of Miata, remarked on the consistent progress, stating, “This second batch of samples continues to inform our predictive vein model and targeting strategy.” The anticipated drilling will first focus on the Stranger target, subsequently moving to the Golden Hand target. The team has achieved substantial results in less than five months from the acquisition to the initiation of drilling.

As drill preparation progresses at the Sela Creek site, the approval of the Major Drilling crew marks a significant milestone in the exploration operations. The camp construction, including a 28-person bunkhouse, has advanced rapidly, supporting a planned capacity for 35 individuals to facilitate multiple drill rigs.

The samples were rigorously analyzed at the FiLab in Paramaribo, an ISO-certified laboratory, ensuring quality through the inclusion of blanks and standards in the testing process. All quality assurance and control samples met the acceptable values. The scientific and technical aspects of this report have been validated by Dr. Jacob Verbaas, P.Geo., a director of the Company, and a Qualified Person under the National Instrument 43-101 standards.

In summary, Miata Metals Corp. has made significant strides at the Sela Creek Project, with the arrival of its drill crew and promising gold samples pointing to potential mineralization. With a robust exploration strategy in place and ongoing drilling preparations, the Company is well-positioned to explore and identify further opportunities within the project area. Continued analysis and drilling efforts will be crucial for future success.
