Two lawmakers from Liberia’s Majority Bloc reported strange occurrences at their offices. Rep. Foday Fahnbulleh found a juju, while Rep. Ivar Jones discovered a smear of blood on his door. Both incidents have raised concerns and prompted social media responses from the lawmakers.
In Monrovia, two lawmakers from the Majority Bloc, Representative Foday Fahnbulleh of Bong County District Seven and Representative Ivar Jones of Margibi County District Two, reported unusual incidents occurring in their offices on Friday morning. These occurrences have raised eyebrows and sparked discussions among their constituents.
Representative Fahnbulleh discovered a juju, a traditional African ritual object, placed in his office. He shared this finding on Facebook, indicating, “This is what was found in my office a few minutes ago. Juju entered Capitol Building! God is in control.” He expressed confusion about how the object arrived in his office and opted not to assign blame for the strange occurrence, stating, “I don’t want to blame anyone.”
In an unrelated incident, Representative Ivar Jones found a smear of blood on his office door and took to social media to address the matter. He referred to a scripture from Isaiah 54:17, emphasizing the protective prayer, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. Jones remarked that this was the first such incident he had encountered since taking office in 2017.
The reported incidents involving Representatives Fahnbulleh and Jones underline the strange occurrences that can impact lawmakers. While Rep. Fahnbulleh’s encounter with a juju remains unexplained, Rep. Jones’s finding of blood signifies an alarming trend in their environment. Both incidents evoke community concern, reflecting potential unrest within the political sphere.
