On Saturday morning, Nepal experienced two minor earthquakes in separate locations, as reported by the country’s earthquake monitoring division. Thankfully, there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage resulting from these tremors.
The first quake struck Baglung district at approximately 6:20 a.m., registering a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of this tremor was located in the Khukhani area, roughly 300 kilometers from Kathmandu.
Prior to this, an earthquake measuring 4.0 occurred in Myagdi district at 3:14 a.m., situated about 40 kilometers from Baglung, with its epicentre in the Muri area of Myagdi district.
The twin earthquakes in Nepal on Saturday morning were of mild intensity, with the first measuring 4.1 in Baglung and the second 4.0 in Myagdi. Fortunately, no casualties or damage were reported, which is a relief for the affected regions.
