The arrests encompassed multiple categories: there were 10,824 infractions related to residency laws, 4,638 breaches of border security regulations, and 3,027 labor law violations. Additionally, security forces apprehended 1,125 individuals attempting illegal entry into Saudi Arabia, predominantly from Yemen and Ethiopia, along with 57 individuals caught trying to exit the Kingdom unlawfully.
In a related initiative, Saudi authorities increased scrutiny on those aiding violators, resulting in the arrest of 31 individuals for transporting, sheltering, or employing illegal residents. Furthermore, the ministry brought to light that 25,484 expatriates are currently facing legal proceedings, including 17,981 who have been referred to their diplomatic missions for necessary travel documentation, while others are making arrangements for their departure or have already been deported.
The Ministry of Interior has issued stern warnings to those facilitating illegal activities, indicating that violators may face severe penalties, including a prison term of up to 15 years, fines reaching SR1 million, and potential confiscation of vehicles or properties involved in such illicit actions.
