Bice Osei Kuffour, better known as ‘Obour’, has officially resigned as the Acting Managing Director of the Ghana Post Company Limited. His resignation was announced through a Facebook post, in which he reflected on his tenure that began on January 4, 2022, considering it a privilege to serve the organization.
In his statement, Obour highlighted his role in leading Ghana Post through a significant transformative phase, aiming to enhance its reputation as a modern, efficient, and customer-focused postal and logistics service provider. He acknowledged the honor of his position and the progress achieved during his leadership.
In his farewell message, he expressed gratitude towards Hon. Ursula Owusu, his sector minister, and recognized the Board of Directors alongside the committed management and staff of Ghana Post, whose hard work contributed to the company’s advancements.
Ghana Post has made substantial strides in leveraging technology to improve accessibility to services, notably through the launch of the online platform “GhPostPay” in 2019 as part of its digital transformation initiative. Moreover, the company has initiated a digitalization strategy, incorporating a digital address system and the digitization of postal services nationwide.
Throughout its journey, Ghana Post has received various accolades, including the Best EMS Call Centre Award in 2017 and the Best Customer Care Award in 2018, both awarded by the Universal Postal Union in Switzerland, showcasing its commitment to excellence in service provision.
Bice Osei Kuffour’s resignation marks the end of a significant chapter for Ghana Post, during which he emphasized modernization and customer service enhancement.
