Connected Minerals (ASX: CML) has officially appointed Namibian contractor Hammerstein Drilling to conduct its inaugural reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. This program, scheduled to commence in April, will involve drilling 33 holes totaling 2,500 meters, with a significant portion of 2,000 meters allocated for Etango North-East and the remaining 450 meters at Swakopmund.
The upcoming drilling will prioritize the Etango North-East site, where promising targets have been identified following a rock chip sampling initiative completed in December 2024. After concluding the Etango North-East drilling, attention will shift to Swakopmund, where targets have emerged from a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.
Warrick Clent, the Chief Executive Officer of Connected Minerals, emphasized that hiring Hammerstein Drilling represents a pivotal advancement for the company, facilitating the commencement of drilling in April. Clent expressed optimism by stating, “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date.” He further stated, “We look forward to beginning drilling in April, just four months after the relisting of Connected Minerals, and anticipate strong news flow in the months ahead.”
