In the Cadet (U-14) Girls’ division, Delta Secondary School took the lead with 50 points, followed by Ado Girls at 33 points, and SAM-KAY securing third place with 20 points. The Boys’ division highlighted Government Model Asaba’s prowess, achieving an outstanding 86 points, significantly surpassing Benin Technical, which earned 43 points. David Ekunwe and Daniel Okwokwo were noteworthy for winning gold and silver medals in multiple events. Saint John the Apostle concluded this division with 34 points.
For the Youth (U-17) Girls’ competition, Vision High triumphed by accumulating 102 points, with Blessing Ezeh contributing significantly through her victories in Shot Put and Discus Throw. The Lord’s Own Int’l School and Osadenis followed at second and third places with 39 and 31 points, respectively. In the Youth Boys’ category, Government Model maintained their impressive form by scoring 58 points, ahead of Beje High at 35 points, while Vision High placed third with 28 points.
Delta State showcased notable strength in the Junior (U-20) Team event, securing the team title with 162 points. Their success was primarily attributed to Bosa David Kosisochukwu and Success Okeleke, who excelled in throwing events. Kosisochukwu clinched two gold medals in Shot Put and Javelin, along with a bronze in the Discus Throw. HIT and Global Power followed in second and third places with 94 and 79 points respectively.
In the Senior Team competition, Team Bayelsa emerged as champions with 114 points, outperforming the host team, Edo, which scored 87 points. Team MTN completed the top three, finishing with 48 points.
