XCMG Brazil Launches First Fully Electric Water Truck

XCMG Brazil has launched the first 100% electric water truck, featuring two models with capacities of 25,000 and 50,000 liters. The vehicles are designed for various applications including dust control and fire management. Key features include a 1,000-liter per minute pump and advanced joystick control, aiming to serve diverse industries.

XCMG Brazil has introduced the world’s first fully electric water truck, aimed at adhering to high standards of efficiency and safety. Two models were unveiled during a joint launch event with Impacto Implementos e Máquinas in Jaú, São Paulo; one model has a capacity of 25,000 liters, while the larger model, the ‘Titan,’ holds 50,000 liters. Impacto has been a key provider of equipment maintenance and services in the region since 2004.

These electric water trucks cater to various applications including water transport, dust control, compaction, soil moistening, and fire control. Ricardo Senda, the Electric Manager, highlighted their versatility at the product presentation. Built as both off-road and on-road vehicles, they utilize the XDR80TE and E7-29R platforms, targeting sectors like sugar and alcohol production, agriculture, mining, construction, forestry, and sanitation.

Key technological features of the electric trucks include a centrifugal pump that delivers 1,000 liters per minute, joystick control with a range of up to 50 meters, and an electronic control system for precise electropneumatic actuation of the spreaders. Additional innovations involve transverse and longitudinal wave breakers for improved stability, a rear spreader for soil moistening and dust control, as well as rear and side spreaders for further dust and flame control.
