Jaishankar’s Key Meetings with Foreign Ministers at Raisina Dialogue 2025

During the Raisina Dialogue 2025 held in New Delhi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar conducted significant meetings with foreign ministers from Ukraine, Thailand, and Peru. On March 18, 2025, India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, engaged in crucial discussions with the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Thailand, and Peru during the Raisina Dialogue. These meetings underscore India’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and addressing global challenges.

Dr. Jaishankar met with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, where he commended Sybiha for sharing insights on Ukraine’s peace negotiations. He also emphasized the opening of the new Ukrainian Consulate General in Mumbai, which aims to bolster their bilateral engagement further, alongside a visa-free travel agreement for officials.

Additionally, Dr. Jaishankar held comprehensive talks with Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, focusing on areas including digital connectivity, food security collaboration, and strengthening the BIMSTEC partnership. Jaishankar affirmed the productive nature of their discussions.

In another significant meeting, Dr. Jaishankar interacted with Peru’s Foreign Minister, Elmer Schialer Salcedo. They explored opportunities to enhance bilateral political, economic, and infrastructure cooperation while also discussing multilateral engagements. An agreement was reached regarding the exchange of information and documentation between India and Peru’s National Archives.

The Raisina Dialogue, taking place from March 17-19 in New Delhi, is recognized as India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, collaboratively organized by the Observer Research Foundation and the Ministry of External Affairs. It aims to tackle pressing global issues with a focus on comprehensive dialogue.
