Pa Bojang Calls for Unity and Support for President Barrow

Former KGI MD Pa Bojang praised President Adama Barrow and called on Gambians to unite for nation-building and the protection of citizens. He urged political leaders to focus on development, commended Modou Turo Darboe’s humanitarian work during Ramadan, and emphasized the importance of community support for the needy.

Pa Bojang, the former Managing Director of KGI, expressed his admiration for President Adama Barrow and called upon all Gambians to unite in nation-building, emphasizing the importance of protecting the lives and properties of citizens. He stated that attributing blame to President Barrow is not a constructive approach.

During a recent interview at a food aid distribution organized by CEO VDF, Modou Turo Darboe, Mr. Bojang, who served under former President Yahya Jammeh, recognized Barrow’s efforts in appointing ministers and service chiefs aimed at advancing the country’s development. He commended Mr. Darboe for his humanitarian contributions during Ramadan.

Mr. Bojang urged political figures to prioritize peace and stability by setting aside their differences to foster national development, highlighting The Gambia’s reputation for peace. He remarked, “We should always adopt a culture of brotherhood and maintain family relationships that can advance our development aspirations.”

He further explained that President Barrow cannot be aware of every issue and therefore relies on heads of departments and institutions. He encouraged these leaders to enhance their support for the president in safeguarding citizens and their properties.

Praising President Barrow as a champion of peace in West Africa, Mr. Bojang acknowledged that politics is transient, asserting, “we remain in The Gambia. Therefore, let’s join heads and hands together and work and protect our country from any illegal activities.” He emphasized the need for Gambians to commit to protecting the nation’s interests.

In addition to his support for President Barrow, Mr. Bojang lauded Mr. Turo Darboe for exemplifying altruism throughout the holy month of Ramadan, calling him a role model and ambassador for the underprivileged. He urged wealthy Gambians to follow Darboe’s example in supporting those in need during this significant period.

In summary, Pa Bojang’s remarks reinforce the need for unity and commitment among Gambians to support President Adama Barrow and engage in nation-building activities. He highlights the importance of political stability, a culture of brotherhood, and the need for assistance to the needy during Ramadan. His calls for collaboration and collective efforts reflect the values of peace and development that are integral to The Gambia’s future prosperity.
