AUC Chairperson Welcomes Doha Meeting between Leaders of DRC and Rwanda

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, has expressed approval regarding the outcomes of a trilateral meeting held on 18 March 2025 in Doha, Qatar, involving the leaders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This significant meeting was hosted under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and included the participation of President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and President Félix Tshisekedi of the DRC.

Chairperson Youssouf commended both leaders for their dedication to dialogue and their efforts toward achieving a peaceful resolution regarding the ongoing crisis in Eastern DRC.
