Scribe Strategies & Advisors Secures Contract to Enhance US-DRC Relations

Scribe Strategies & Advisors has signed an $840K contract with the DRC to enhance U.S. relations amid conflict involving the M23 rebel group. President Tshisekedi offers mining opportunities linked to U.S. investment in rare earth minerals, while SS&A leads efforts to promote trade and cooperation. The contract started on February 4 and includes a renewal option.

Scribe Strategies & Advisors (SS&A) has secured an $840,000 contract with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) aimed at enhancing the DRC’s diplomatic ties with the United States. This initiative comes amidst ongoing conflict involving the M23 rebel group, which has been active in eastern DRC for a decade, and follows a call for a ceasefire by the governments of DRC and Rwanda on March 18.

In a strategic move, President Trump is reportedly considering investments to develop the DRC’s abundant rare earth minerals. Furthermore, there are discussions about appointing Massad Boulos, who is Tiffany Trump’s father-in-law, as a peace envoy. DRC President Félix Tshisekedi has extended mining opportunities to the U.S. in exchange for assistance in resolving the civil unrest. In a letter to President Trump, he stated, “Your election has ushered in the golden age for America. Our partnership would provide the U.S. with a strategic advantage by securing critical minerals such as cobalt, lithium, copper and tantalum from the Democratic Republic of Congo.”

SS&A aims to improve the U.S.-DRC relationship by promoting trade, investment, and cooperative initiatives through proactive engagement with the Trump administration. The firm emphasizes the significance of the DRC’s natural resources in the global supply chain. The effort is being led by Joe Szlavik, the founder of SS&A, who established the firm in 1992 after serving in the Bush I administration.

The contract, which began on February 4, spans one year and includes an automatic renewal clause for an additional year. In parallel, DRC is collaborating with Ballard Partners, which has established a $1.2 million contract connected to Trump’s network.

In summary, Scribe Strategies & Advisors has entered into a significant contract with the DRC to strengthen ties with the United States amidst ongoing conflict in the region. President Tshisekedi’s offer of mining opportunities showcases the strategic importance of the DRC’s mineral wealth. Additionally, SS&A aims to leverage these resources for the benefit of U.S. interests, showing a commitment to fostering improved diplomatic and economic relationships.
