The diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Colombia were established on July 5, 1946, and it is reported that roughly 100 Filipinos live in Colombia.
Cambodian Ambassador Sin expressed his dedication to fostering cooperation for the mutual benefit and prosperity of both nations. In response, President Marcos welcomed him, stating, “I welcome you to the Philippines and I look forward to even stronger relationships between our two countries and to strengthen what is already a very strong union between our two countries.” The Philippines and Cambodia have enjoyed diplomatic relations since August 20, 1957, with around 7,500 Filipinos residing in Cambodia as of June 2024.
Regarding Ukraine, Ambassador Fediv articulated a readiness to further develop bilateral relations, emphasizing collective efforts to promote international peace and mutual respect. President Marcos acknowledged this by expressing his support for Ukraine’s peace initiatives: “We hope to continue – we will always support you in your efforts for peace. And we are very happy to welcome you here and to be able to have conversations with you as to what else we in the Philippines, though far away, might be able to do to help our quest for peace.” Diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Ukraine were established on April 7, 1992, with approximately 24 Filipinos currently residing in Ukraine.
