Saudi Fund Delivers 1,568 Housing Units in Tunisia

The Saudi Fund for Development has delivered 1,568 housing units in Bakri city, Tunisia, as part of a broader investment of $150 million for social housing projects aimed at improving living conditions. The Saudi Fund for Development has successfully delivered 1,568 housing units located in Bakri city, within the Ariana Governorate of northern Tunisia. This initiative was overseen by Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, the Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia, and Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, the Tunisian Minister for Equipment and Housing. The project is part of an extensive housing program in Tunisia, which aims to provide social housing, funded by a total investment of $150 million for 4,715 units in various regions of the country. During the delivery ceremony, Abdullah bin Ali bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani, the director of North Africa operations for the Saudi Fund, highlighted the fund’s commitment to executing development projects in Tunisia. The Tunisian Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s sustained support in enhancing housing infrastructure. In addition to housing, the Saudi Fund recently signed an $85 million agreement to construct the King Salman bin Abdulaziz University Hospital in Kairouan, aimed at boosting healthcare services and reducing patient travel distance within Tunisia. To date, the Fund has financed 32 development projects in Tunisia, contributing over $1.23 billion, alongside grants totaling more than $105 million to support various sectors within the country.
